Interoperability lead is a health standards professional within the Provider Insights
Software Applications chapter with responsibilities bridging the domains of clinical data,health standards and software engineering to solve complex health interoperability problems.. The ideal candidate will have excellent analytical, communication and interpersonal skills, and will be able to provide technical expertise in supporting requirements collection and exploring new healthcare technology trends to create
blueprints and recommendations. The role will work in partnership with product management and project architecture & engineering teams to deliver software releases.
Key Functions and qualifications:
? Systems interoperability: Help to architect, analyze, implement, pilot, and prototype HL7 /
FHIR-driven and vocabulary standards-based health information standards and systems.
? Help define workflows and clinician-facing user interfaces in EHR integrated
? Web applications: Design and implement high-quality software that performs at scale
and integrate with the EHR user interfaces.
? Serve as subject matter expert to and/or lead cross functional teams consisting of
product managers, software developers, FHIR engineers and clinicians to design,
develop and pilot web applications, SAmD products and components.
? Provide thought leadership in identifying and addressing emerging health standards
? Demonstrate deep knowledge of healthcare systems and standards.
? Experience with health IT standards, especially HL7, FHIR, and in implementing the
standards in EHRs and other health systems
? Experience with vocabulary standards, especially SNOMED CT, LOINC, RxNorm, ICD,
CPT, OMOP and others
? Familiarity with App Orchard (Epic), Code (Cerner).
? Experience with apps that have been developed with Epic and Cerner certifications.
