Mobility is becoming increasingly pervasive for enterprises. Forrester Research states that 49% of enterprises plan to increase spending on mobile devices and applications. However, for every positive development in this market, there is often a corollary risk. The proliferation of mobile devices has led to the BYOD surge, flux of varied OS platforms, and the convergence of mobile, social and cloud technologies. Combined, these have made mobile devices vulnerable to a variety of security risks. Therefore, it’s critical for enterprises to understand the changing dynamics of mobile technology and what it can do to protect data. Because of the outstanding importance of mobile application security, we felt compelled to share our expertise at QUEST 2014.
Shortly before QUEST, Manish Mathuria, InfoStretch Corporation CTO, stated in an interview by Tech Target, “Most brands have apps that do something significant with the end users’ mobile device. This device stores all kinds of data — their personal information, their contacts, their calendars, things like that. So the companies and enterprises building mobile apps are definitely concerned about security from multiple sides.” To read the rest of his interview click here.
At QUEST 2014, our experts and business leaders connected with the attendees to exhibit the facets of “Security in an Enterprise World”. We displayed the various security concerns while designing and developing mobile applications to great reception. InfoStretch Corporation’s Chief Technology Officer, Manish Mathuria, presented our successful mobile application security testing solutions and spoke on lessons learned and pitfalls to avoid in implementing an effective and efficient solution. We are very pleased with the great traction we received from the audience at QUEST and look forward to building upon the associations made there.
