Vice President - Business Finance

Seeking a highly driven Leader in Financial Planning & Analysis area with a proven track record of being a strong business partner to executive and leadership management.

Candidates must bring extensive FP&A experience with the ability to support step-change growth of an entrepreneurial organization that is the market leader in the field of Digital Services space.

Skills and Attributes:
  • Ability to work independently and drive results as a sole contributor even within a strong team environment
  • Experience with working with multiple platforms and information sources to create meaningful, focused, accurate and actionable reports and presentations.
  • Enjoy working in a “time is of essence” environment
  • Ability to effectively communicate with operations and other LOB
  • As the Business finance (SME), you must drive process and push the organization to both understand and utilize the value created through FP&A
  • Ability to scope out Global Planning tool for Mid-range and Long-range Planning & Forecasting

Position Responsibilities:

Financial insight and performance management:

1. Partner with the Executive and Operations teams to implement strategies and initiatives to drive growth and improve margins as well as play a key role in efforts to continually improve business performance and decision making

2. Conduct monthly calls with operations leadership to communicate financial implications of current results and how they affect the run-rate and forecasted performance of the company

3. Understand and utilize historical and forecasted financial data for the Digital Services Space and individual internal entities to provide insight into market developments and business performance

4. Provide ongoing accurate forecasting, based on an empirical understanding of internal performance and external market drivers

5. Identify and report variances and trends in the business and communicate this information to the Executive and Operations team on a timely basis

6. Prepare and review monthly and quarterly financial forecasts, including the identification of risks and opportunities

7. Support the executive and operations leadership teams in the development of industry and entity relevant KPIs and implement an appropriate KPI framework to support business goals & objectives, then support the process of holding entity owners accountable for financial performance based upon projections and KPIs

8. Work with IT to ensure operational and accounting systems are appropriate for the business and are being correctly utilized across the organization

9. Assist in the evaluation of strategic initiatives and potential add-on acquisitions

10. Special projects as identified


Financial Planning:

1. Manage and routinely update a rolling forecast for the company

2. Manage a budget process in line with the company’s 5-year strategic plan for the business (defined by CEO / CFO / COO) including:

A) Defining timetables and key actions/responsibilities

B) Managing the process of data collection and consolidation

C) Working with business unit leaders to build and maintain entity-level budgets and models

D) Consolidate all information into one corporate budget


Reporting:

1. Prepare the analysis of weekly, monthly, and quarterly financial results and key performance indicators against budget, forecasts, and other internal benchmarks

2. Support reporting and communication for business performance to meet internal and external reporting obligations, including, but not limited to:

A) Monthly reporting packages

B) Quarterly board and lender presentations

C) Annual business plans

3. Work with stakeholders to ensure appropriate monitoring and compliance with credit agreement and any board agreements

4. Manage ad hoc information requests for the board and other investors

5. Partner with the Accounting team to ensure the accuracy of the monthly financial close

6. Maintain consistent financial operating policies and procedures while identifying and implementing best practices

7. Collaborate with IT Business Intelligence Analyst to design quality data analytics and data modeling support to the organization to make more informed business decisions


Position Requirements:

·Bachelor’s degree in Finance / Accounting or in a relevant technical subject and MBA from a Premium Institute.

· Certified Accountant (ACA, CMA, CPA) is a plus but not required

· 4-6 years of financial analysis experience for multinational businesses with expertise in FP&A and/or regional/large business unit finance and control

· Excellent Power BI / Excel / Word skills

· Strong understanding of databases and some SQL programming skills would be a significant advantage but are not required

· Excellent oral and written communication skills

· Strong work ethic

. The ability to lead thru change management and skill to handle ambiguity while being resilient to setbacks and a demonstrated ability to support others.
