Advanced Testing
With the increased demands and complexities of today’s economics and business processes, software products are becoming more critical in determining a company’s success. InfoStretch understands that simple testing of mission critical applications is not enough. InfoStretch quality experts have developed Advanced Testing Services specifically tailored to meet the security, compliance, compatibility, interoperability and sustainability needs of businesses.
Security and Vulnerability Testing (Assurance)
As infrastructure has become integral part of distributed applications, the security of applications and privacy of information has become more important than ever before. Hackers have become more sophisticated, making it a challenge to protect the integrity of applications, access to infrastructure, and critical customer and internal information and data. The demand and necessity for secure applications, from both consumer and government regulators, is driving the need for security and vulnerability elements in the application lifecycle – from development and testing, to deployment and maintenance, to ongoing monitoring.
InfoStretch, with our partners, offers our customers a comprehensive testing solution for security and vulnerability testing that proactively addresses the following areas:
 |
Web application security infrastructure |
 |
Assuring regulatory compliance |
 |
Assuring information privacy policy compliance |
Our team of experts test the application for common vulnerabilities and add value by helping our customers find the most suitable solutions for vulnerabilities identified during testing and while developing automated tests to verify the security compliance.
Usability Testing (Experience)
End users of Internet-based applications typically are not formally trained to use the application, and the competition is just a click away. If end users cannot find what they are looking for, if the application response times are inadequate, or if the application is not user-friendly, then there is a good chance that you will quickly loose that customer to your competition.
Usability testing is defined as verification and measurement of the degree to which given software assists the user to accomplish a task, as opposed to becoming an additional impediment. InfoStretch experts analyze your application's usability based on proven Human-Computer Interaction (HCI) principles and test for:
 |
Intuitiveness of application for ease of learning |
 |
Time spent to accomplish the task |
 |
Error rate for user due to application behavior |
Compatibility and Interoperability Testing (Certainty)
Internet applications run on various distributed platforms, operating systems, databases, and browsers that coexist with numerous other applications and tools. This complex execution environment of software applications has given birth to a whole new category of testing – Compatibility Testing – which verifies that your product functions correctly in the target execution environment. This can comprise a wide variety of hardware, software and network configurations.
Interoperability testing certifies your application's ability to co-exist with other applications on selected platforms. InfoStretch consultants work with clients to define the compatibility platforms of applications using metrics that help them to reduce risk while cognitively managing business risk.
InfoStretch has invested in a state-of-the-art compatibility Lab that incorporates widely used platforms to meet the needs of our customers for compatibility testing. Depending on the complexity of the product/application, we can perform compatibility testing on following platforms.

SOA/Enterprise Service Bus Testing
Enterprise IT is adopting SOA and Enterprise Service Bus (ESB) as an infrastructural backbone of their SOA initiatives. For most QA organizations, ESB concepts, patterns and use cases are a complex combination to test. ESB is like the ethernet for business transactions. While we can take ethernet for granted, underestimating the complexity in testing of ESB can pose a serious business risk.
InfoStretch helps QA organizations develop a sound strategy for end to end test planning of an ESB implementation on an enterprise scale. We address common usage patterns and corresponding test patterns for SOA security, mediation, transformation, routing, choreography and business process execution. We also address automation for continuous and effective testing that can support functional, regression and performance testing of SOA and ESB.
Compliance Testing (Certification)
Regulatory Compliance and Certifications is an area where many companies seek an independent authority to conduct the audit and issue reports. InfoStretch has developed compliance and certification services based on industry and regulatory guidelines. Our compliance testing services help customers prepare and maintain for certifications required in their business and/or industry. InfoStretch offers compliance testing services in following areas:
